Magee Marsh Wave 2: Warblers continued

[Magee Marsh, OH. May 2015]

In 1625, Francis Bacon, philosopher and Lord Chancellor of England, penned words to the effect "If the mountain won't come to Muhammad then Muhammad must go to the mountain."

Are we not reminded of this proverb every Spring, albeit somewhat transposed, as "If the birder won't come to the neotropics then the neotropics  must go to the birder." And, for proof that this proverb indeed rings true, look no further than these dazzling warblers observed at Magee Marsh:

Chestnut-sided Warbler:

Black-throated Blue Warbler:

Black-throated Green Warbler:

Black-and-white Warbler:

Magnolia Warbler:

Northern Waterthrush:

Yellow Warbler:

It's good to see your 2015 reports of the migrants at the Hallowed Ground of Magee Marsh, Hemant. Beautiful images.

What great photos you have there my friend! I find it extremely rewarding when I manage to get a clear warbler photo - and looking at all of yours makes me tip my straw hat to you!
